Nathan’s story
When I was 12 years old, I was shot and sustained a spinal cord injury that left me paralyzed from the chest down.
I learned how difficult it can be to obtain the equipment, resources, and financial support a person needs after a spinal cord injury. I created Nathan Powell Foundation so others would know they are not forgotten and do not have to face every challenge alone.
How we help
Our two current programs focus on needs that can directly affect safety, mobility, comfort, and financial stability.

We may help eligible individuals obtain necessary medical equipment or wheelchair-related items that support safety, mobility, comfort, and independence.

We may provide limited financial assistance toward eligible medical bills that are creating hardship for an individual living with a spinal cord injury.
Assistance depends on eligibility, documentation, available funding, and the circumstances of each request. Submitting a request does not guarantee assistance.
